Single vineyard, single vintage sparkling wines are unusual in California. Like our acclaimed 2012 Blanc de Noir, the 2014 Whole Buncha Bubbles is 100% OGV Estate Pinot Noir from our organically farmed vineyard. This small lot of elegant, food friendly méthode champenoise is 100% Pinot Noir. After nearly three years on the yeast, this sparkling wine is incredibly aromatic, complex, and has a very fine bead (LOTS of tiny fact you could say - a "Whole Buncha" tiny bubbles!). Only 166 cases of Whole Buncha Bubbles were created.

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
The wine has a very fine bead, almost no color--just the palest hay-colored tint--and wonderful aromas of apple raspberry crumble on the nose. On the palate, green apple moves towards lemon meringue pie and then finishes with seashells and a chalky minerality and red fruit: a clean, crisp palate impression. The acidity is very bright and creates a pleasing structure for this linear, focused wine.
Winemaker Notes
Whole clusters were put in a bladder press and the free run juice was captured for the cuvée. Two press fractions, or tailles, were then taken, and all three portions were fermented separately, and then small portions of the press fractions were added to the cuveé. After three years of bottle aging on yeast, 166 cases were disgorged November 2, 2017. 0.025 g/l of sugar was added in the dosage.

12 percent, $68: This fun-loving, spirited label has a delightful range of flavors — raspberry, green apple and mineral. It’s a serious layered sparkler, with gorgeous yeasty aromas. - Peg Melnick, Press Democrat

A whimsical name belies a seriously well-made sparkling wine in the Inman Family “Whole Buncha Bubbles” Blanc de Noirs 2014, Russian River Valley. Made completely from pinot noir grapes, as is the tradition for blanc de noirs, derived from the winery’s OGV Estate vineyard and aged three years on the lees, this champagne-method sparkler offers a very pale straw-gold hue and an abundant radiant shimmer of tiny bubbles. Alluring scents of jasmine, smoke and steel, roasted lemons and pears unfurl just a hint of fresh-baked brioche. as well as notes of quince and ginger, seashell and heather. The whole construct is elegant, delicate and fine-boned, like a china tea cup so thin that it’s almost translucent, yet there is no mistaking the tensile foundation in flint and limestone minerality nor the clean acidity that lends the structure a crisp, chiseled aura. 12 percent alcohol. A real pleasure to drink, now through 2022 to ’24. Winemaker was Kathleen Inman. Production was 166 cases. Excellent. - Fredric Koeppel, Bigger Than Your Head
